Rat snake
Rat snake (elaphe taeniura). The beauty snake elaphe taeniura is a large and slender ratsnake ranging from 4½ - 8 ft (139cm-250cm), in length. They are active during the day as well as at night and can be found in a great varity of habitats ranging from forest to cultivated fields to human settlements to caves.

The beauty rat snake is a species of long, slender, semi-arboreal snakes that are native to Asia. Several subspecies are recognized. Their average length is about 5-7 feet, with an unofficial record of slightly under 10 feet. In captivity some calm down to be nice pets, but others have been known to be quite temperamental even many years after capture.
