    1. I think you are right. A Field Guide to the Frogs of Borneo (Inger & Stuebing, 2nd edition, 2005) describes this species in a way that's a good match for this picture. The most distinctive aspect of this species is the dark band from the eye, covering the eardrum, and continuing down the side until it eventually fizzles out. Also, Inger & Stuebing mention "Often there is a narrow, whitish ridge of skin along the outer edge of the forearm", which I believe is visible in this photo.

      Most photos of Polypedates macrotis show the side stripe fizzling out much more quickly than this one does, but that excellent Frogs of Borneo website does show at least one specimen with a side stripe comparable to this one. I think P. macrotis is a good if not completely conclusive ID for this frog.

''Polypedates macrotis'', commonly known as the dark-eared treefrog, sometimes also Bongao tree frog, Bongao bubble-nest frog, Baram whipping frog, or brown-striped tree frog, is a species of frog in the Rhacophoridae family. It is found in the central peninsular Thailand , Sumatra, Borneo, and Sulu Archipelago as well as a range of other Philippine islands .

"Bongao" in the common name refers to Bongao Island, the type locality of ''Philautus montanus'', now synonymized with ''Polypedates.. more
