  1. Photograph was taken in July 2016. (Sorry, I need to set my camera so it is recording the date accurately; I am new to photography and learning all these things). Edit: I have set the correct date and time on my camera now, so it should show correctly automatically when I upload a photo to this site. Posted 9 years ago, modified 9 years ago

The house sparrow is a bird of the sparrow family Passeridae, found in most parts of the world. A small bird, it has a typical length of 16 cm and a weight of 24–39.5 g. Females and young birds are coloured pale brown and grey, and males have brighter black, white, and brown markings.
