      1. It's all in the spots. You have to examine them in detail. If you put these photos side by side you should see the difference. The spots on the hind wing of Tarucus callinara are spread more or less evenly while those of Castalius rosimon are closer in two groups with a distinct white space in the middle.

        This is a nice site for butterflies from India. In Sri Lanka you would have more or less the same species. You can see the list of all species in a family and it is easy to compare them.
