  2. Deleting the tags "Api Api" and "Aurellia Aurita" at the jumping spider photo isn't the solution to put the right identification on this photo back again. I thought that could be the solution, but it wasn't. I leave it now up to you Ferdy ;-) Posted 12 years ago

"Aurelia aurita" is a widely studied species of the genus "Aurelia". All species in the genus are closely related, and it is difficult to identify "Aurelia" medusae without genetic sampling; most of what follows applies equally to all species of the genus.
