Double collared sunbird I think this is a juvenile, there have been a pair of them flying around the house recently, both males and both quite small. In the absence of anything else seemingly alive around the house at the moment,  it's good to know there will always be the sunbirds! The Southern Double-collared Sunbird or Lesser Double-collared Sunbird, ''Cinnyris chalybeus'' , is a small passerine bird which breeds in southern South Africa. It is mainly resident, but partially migratory in the north-east of its range.
