If I play dead ............. A female (or juvenile) stag beetle, spotted in a raised bed, in my garden.  It was eating a strawberry. After I had taken a few photos of it, I put it back where I  found it.  It moved so quickly I almost didn't see it go!   2. I was really surprised to see it. I wondered what was eating the strawberries...... the damage wasn't the same as that caused by slugs. It's only the second time I've seen a 'wild'one! Posted 9 years ago
