I'm getting fed up with playing dead! The markings to be seen on the beetle are quite interesting, although I'm not sure whether the pinky colour is my strawberry or not! Dorcus parallelipipedus,Geotagged,Lesser Stag beetle,Summer,United Kingdom Click/tap to enlarge

  1. Ferdy, If there are too many pics of the beetle please tell me which to delete, but I thought they were all interesting. Posted 9 years ago
    1. They are not exact duplicates, so you're not breaking that hard rule. So then we move into the grey and subjective zone. My personal opinion is a single photo would have been enough, the others don't add value. The reason I say that is that is a single spotting, and all three photos are from the same angle, thus you are showing the same thing three times. In your defense, there is an interesting difference between playing dead and it being "resurrected" again, so perhaps two shots would be justified.

Just my thoughts. Note that this isn't necessarily about what is allowed and what not, it's guidance to captivate your audience best.
