Shitty Life!

Saw lots of this Simplex Clearwing Butterfly - Pteronymia simplex simplex in one particular trail of a remote mountain but very difficult to get good pictures of them until I realised they stay put for longer when they are 'feeding'. And they are not feeding on flowers but bird's droppings!

This 3 Simplex Clearwing Butterfly were sharing a yummy bird's droppings :D

  Was surely very lucky indeed with this encounter.
  Initially, there were just 2 of them and then a third one came into the frame. They adjusted their positions and eventually, I was able to get this shot of them posed so nicely :) Posted 9 years ago
