Baby European Garden spider, the wait This baby spider is barely visible by itself, let alone its web. In this shot I upped the contrast to make both more visible. Note that the spider cannot afford to wait much once its web is done, as it needs to create a new web every day. Araneus diadematus,Insects,Macro,Spiders Click/tap to enlarge

The spider species "Araneus diadematus" is commonly called the European garden spider, diadem spider, orangie, cross spider and crowned orb weaver. It is sometimes called the pumpkin spider, although this name is also used for a different species, "Araneus marmoreus". It is an orb-weaver spider found in Europe and North America.
