This Fruit Piercing Moth - Eudocima tyrannus looks like dead leafs when it didn't expose its hind wings.
The hind wings are bright orange in colour with black markings.

    1. Yes, I intentionally posted a few other species of Fruit Piercing Moth, to show their differences but I think part of the key to the genus is their ability to 'pierce' fruits to feed on. Posted 9 years ago

''Eudocima tyrannus'' is a moth of the family Erebidae. It is found in south-eastern Siberia, India eastern China, the Philippines and Japan. The wingspan is about 95 mm.
