Touch Me Not Stick Insect! This spiny Stick Insect, Phasmid - Epidares nolimetangere is called &#039;Touch Me Not&#039; as translation of its name, nolimetangere.  It is small in size, around 3.5cm for the Male (in this picture) but the spines are very big.<br />

  2. There are a few colour variation to them, depending on their location.
    The most recent find of them was an all red Male and Female in a remote part of Borneo.

    1. They are harmless, I think their spines is more to be less palatable to birds or lizards, which are their main predators. Posted 9 years ago

Epidares nolimetangere is a species of small wingless stick insect in the family Bacillidae. Males are 3-5cm and females are 4-5 cm.
