      1. Thanks, I don't think it is Centropogon ferrugineus either and I cannot find a good match. Different plants are identified as the same species even in herbaria. Posted 9 years ago

In the highlands of southern Costa Rica one of the commonest native plants of
second-growth areas is Centropogon valerii StandI. (Lobeliaceae),
a peren-nial shrub with orange-red tubular flowers (Wilbur 1972).
