Found in Costa Rica in deciduous forests at elevations of 800 to 1050 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing, epiphyte with pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 2 to 4 leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying 1 to 2, apical leaves that bloom in the fall and spring on a lateral, erect 20 to 32&quot; [50 to 80 cm] long stem with 2 to 5 flowers per branch inflorescences.<br />

Found in Costa Rica in deciduous forests at elevations of 800 to 1050 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing, caespitose epiphyte with elliptic-ovoid to suborbicular, strongly laterally compressed, furrowed when dry pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 2 to 4, imbricate, leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying 1 to 2 [3], apical, sessile to shortly petiolate, strongly carinate abaxially, elliptic to obovate, obtuse, coriaceous, conduplicate towards the base leaves that blooms in the fall and spring.. more
