Baby Green Turtle This Baby Green Turtle is just a few days old, they are kept in the Hatchery.  The eggs were collected by personnel pf the Turtle Hatchery and transferred to a protected area for incubation.  They are kept for a few days after hatching before being released in the wild during night time to increase their chances of survival. The green sea turtle, also known as the green turtle, black turtle or Pacific green turtle, is a species of large sea turtle of the family Cheloniidae. It is the only species in the genus "Chelonia". Its range extends throughout tropical and subtropical seas around the world, with two distinct populations in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, but it is also found in the Indian Ocean.
