Bargibanti Pygmy Seahorse This tiny seahorses are up to 2 cm in length but they use their tails to curl around the sea fan, they seems much smaller in size, around 1.5 cm.  Their colouration can be variable - yellow/orange or purple/pink depending on the host sea fan they are found on.  This species was discovered by accident when scientists were studying the sea fan they collected from the sea only to found the tiny seahorses on  the sea fan.     1. This was seen at around 20 meters depth. They tend to be on the deeper side of 20 meters and above but there are places where they have been seen as shallow as 15 meters. Posted 9 years ago
      1. Nice! I missed them in Bali, where they could be found at 40m, but I'm only Open Water certified... This just added one species on my wish-list when I'll visit the Philippines! Posted 9 years ago
