Icterus prosthemelas

The black-cowled oriole is a species of bird in the family Icteridae.

It is found in Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and possibly Honduras.

Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
