  1. I'm not a butterfly expert but still have some doubt on this species' identification. In particular, every reference image I look at (several dozens) have a third row of white markings at the hind of the forewings, yet yours doesn't. I'm not sure if that means this is another species, or perhaps a different stage of adulthood. Thoughts? Posted 9 years ago

        1. Even I had some trouble differentiating this butterfly between Neptis hylas and Neptis jumbah. I read through a few books on butterflies of Sri Lanka and consulted my uncle who wrote book on butteflies of Sri Lanka as well to identify this species once you commented.
