  1. These wildebeests, or Gnu, remind me of my 8-bit ages of long past. We had these homemade memory expansions where chips were literally soldered piggyback. The 'feet' of one chip were soldered right on top of the other ones pins. It almost looks as if these Gnu are trying to do the same.
    Ok, a mighty spin-off here;) Nice capture Anne, beautiful contrast of the dark animals with the light background and sharp foreground with just that bit of dust.

The blue wildebeest is a large antelope and one of the two species of wildebeest. It is placed in the genus "Connochaetes" and family Bovidae and has a close taxonomic relationship with the black wildebeest. The blue wildebeest is known to have five subspecies. This broad-shouldered antelope has a muscular, front-heavy appearance, with a distinctive robust muzzle.
