The purple-naped sunbird is a species of bird in the Nectariniidae family. It is placed in the monotypic genus ''Hypogramma''. It is found in Brunei, Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
