The Tumbes tyrant is a species of bird in the Tyrannidae family. It is monotypic within the genus "Ochthoeca salvini". It is endemic to Peru, where its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland.
