The Ecuadorian trogon is a species of bird in the Trogonidae family. It is found in deciduous and semi-humid forest and woodland in western Ecuador and far north-western Peru. It was formerly considered a subspecies of the black-tailed trogon, which it resembles, except for its white eyes.
