    1. Thanks! It was perfect timing. We were driving in the dry riverbed, and this group of springbok were walking in the shade of the trees, maybe 20 meters from us. They were partly hidden by shrubs and bushes, and suddenly this one stopped in this opening for maybe a couple seconds, I just had time to take a photo, and then they moved on. Posted 9 years ago

The springbok is a medium-sized antelope found mainly in southern and southwestern Africa. The sole member of the genus "Antidorcas", this bovid was first described by the German zoologist Eberhard August Wilhelm von Zimmermann in 1780.
