
Ruffous-bellied Thrush (Turdus rufiventris)
The Ruffous-bellied Thrush is the symbol of the state of São Paulo and Brazil. It has the most beautiful call, and can be heard even at from 2 to 4 in the morning, in the Spring, in spite of being a diurnal bird, and each individual has an unique call.
Taken in August 2015, in the big city of São Paulo. Known as Sabiá-laranjeira, in Portuguese.

The rufous-bellied thrush is a songbird of the thrush family. It occurs in most of east and southeast Brazil from Maranhão south to Rio Grande do Sul states, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay and northern regions of Argentina. In Brazil it is known as the robin.
