  2. Well, there are a number of similar looking birds in the Himalayan foothills and they can't all be named "Crested Tit", especially since there already is one in Europe. The similar looking bird in Nepal has an even less distinctive name as the "Black-lored Tit". However, my favorite, is the grandly named "Sutan Tit". If it had been up to me I might have made a whole series: Sultan, Rajah, Emperor, Wazir, Shah, etc. Oh well. Posted 8 years ago

The yellow-cheeked tit is a species of bird in the family Paridae. It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Hong Kong, India, Laos, Burma, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. The yellow-cheeked tit was formerly one of the many species in the genus ''Parus'' but was moved to ''Machlolophus'' after a molecular phylogenetic analysis published in 2013 showed that the members.. more
