Blue/Rosy Eranthemum (Eranthemum roseum)
Blue/Rosy Eranthemum is a perennial herb, commonly found on shady forests of the hills of Western Ghats. The flowers have a strong fragrance and fade to a rosy color. The plant has tuberous roots & grows to a ten in numbers. Fresh root juice is used for treating stomachache by tribals.
''Eranthemum roseum'', also known as blue eranthemum, rosy eranthemum (Marathi: Dasmuli, दसमुळी; Jangali aboli, जंगली अबोली ) is a native of the Western Ghats of India. The plant has tuberous roots, and grows to a height of ten in numbers, hence the local name, Dasmuli.
