Coquerels sifaka delaying descent from tree, Ankarafantsika, Madagascar This Sifaka was coming down the tree when it got somewhat stuck in between the trunks of these trees. This Sifaka was coming down the tree when it got somewhat stuck in between the trunks of these trees. As it found the position surprisingly comfortable, it decided to just hang in there for the next 15 minutes.

Coquerel's sifaka is a diurnal, medium-sized lemur of the sifaka genus "Propithecus". Like all lemurs, it is endemic to Madagascar. It was once considered to be a subspecies of Verreaux's sifaka, but was eventually granted full species level.
