    1. Very interesting,thank you. The contrast between the three countries is amazing. As it is winter and quite cold, especially in Madagascar the animals kept well hidden. We couldn't go on any night walks because it was so wet. But I still managed to get some photos. Posted 9 years ago

The Malagasy kingfisher or Madagascar kingfisher is a species of bird in the family Alcedinidae that is found in Madagascar, and Mayotte. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical mangrove forests. It is closely related to the malachite kingfisher which is widely distributed in mainland Africa.
