Pinillo falso - Teucrium pseudochamaepitys

Lamiaceae. Perennial, hirsute, 20-40 cm tall. Stem erect, unbranched, with a woody base, with dense foliage. Leaves opposite, about 4 cm long, deeply pinnate, with 3-5 linear leaflets, 1-2 mm wide, pointed. 2 whorls of flowers in loose terminal cluster. Sporophylls at least as long that the inflorescences. Calyx glandular hairs, the 5 teeth as long or longer than the tube. Corolla white to pink, 1-1.5 cm long, twice longer than the calyx. Upper lip absent. 5 lower lobes. 4 stamens and stigma very prominent.
Habitat: Dry grasslands, roadsides, in areas of calcareous soils thermophilic of the Mediterranean Region.
Teucrium pseudochamaepitys is a plant in the Teucrium genus. It is found in the West Mediterranean region and North Africa.
