European Glass Lizard (Sheltopusik) What I belive to be the worlds largest legless lizard species was also the most commonly occured while in Dubrovnik. These lizards were very large and seemingly social at least when basking as we came across five together in a field basking in the sunset. The sheltopusik, also spelled scheltopusik, also commonly called Pallas' glass lizard or the European legless lizard , is a species of large glass lizard found from southern Europe to Central Asia.
