Paropsisterna variabilis This is another typical Paropsisterna with non striate punctures in ten symmetrical series. The interstices are patterned with short black patches usually aligned to produce transverse bands. This beetle is reasonably widespread across Adelaide, arid and may even occur from Perth to Sydney. I have not seen it in green and wet Victoria yet, but watch this space.
