Paropsisterna irina This plain dark beetle is in fact with a slight green sheen, even after death.  Nocturnal, active larvae, hiding under bark, in both stages diurnally.  Moderately convex, elongate oval, striate, non foveate.  These beetles survive winter well and continue to breed.  Host tree is only in the stringybark group  of eucalyptus.
