The plains zebra, also known as the common zebra, is the most common and geographically widespread species of zebra. Its range is fragmented, but spans much of southern and eastern Africa south of the Sahara. Six subspecies have been recognised including the extinct quagga which was thought to be a separate species.

- Set a meaningful title
- Optionally set a description and tags, not mandatory
- If you know the species on the photo, indicate it (very important)
- Set the country in which you took the photo
It may seem like a lot, but it only takes a few seconds once you get used to it. I also want to explain why this is asked:
- Check out the Zebra species entry on your photo. Click on it and find photos, information, locations and a lot more about the species. This would not be possible if people did not fill out the species.
- The species is placed inside a tree of species, check this out, thousands of species that you can browse: https://www.jungledragon.com/wildlife/browse Again, this is only possible if people fill out the species
- Check out the country on your photo, click on it to find photos, species, parks and a lot more from that country. Not possible if people forget to set the country.
- Check out this world wildlife map: https://www.jungledragon.com/wildlifemap Only possible due to people filling out the location.
I hope this helps to explain why this is important. In reality, it should only take a few seconds per photo once you get the hang of it.
