A broken-back shrimp (Hippolytidae) to 6 cm (2 1/4 in.). Red back with white medial stripe from rostrum to tail. Yellow sides and belly. Long white antennae.<br />
Habitat: L. amboinensis is naturally part of the reef ecosystem, and is widespread in the Red Sea and tropical Indo-Pacific. Small groups inhabit shallow recesses, feeding by picking parasites and debris from client fishes.
