Tube Anemone
Also called flowers of the sea because of the variability in their coloration. Cerianthid live inside tubes they build with their own mucus secretions. Most of the tube is buried on the floor. The outer tentacles are like flower petals, while the short inner tentacles, in a dfferent color, resemble the center of a flower (for other patterns visit http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/16121441). The tentacles move independently from each other, catching food that they directly deposit on the center of the anemone. The tentacles are charged with nematocysts to immobilize prey.
Dive site was Ikok's Rock, Lankayan Island, Sabah (Borneo).

"Cerianthus filiformis", known commonly as the Tube Anemone, is a species of marine Cnidaria in the family Cerianthidae. "Cerianthus filiformis" is widespread throughout the tropical waters of the Indo- west Pacific area.
