
Curious owls | " I'm watching you human!"
I shot this photo at University of Brasilia . The owls nest was near of parking :).
In portuguese this owls is called " coruja-buraqueira". This owl is the burrowing owl, specie Athene cunicularia
The burrowing owls are active during the day and prefers open areas with low ground cover. They can often be found perching near their burrow on fence posts and trees.
