  1. Hi, and welcome. Thank you for the species request, but Pelibuey is a breed (like a collie is a breed of dog), while Ovis aries is the species for domestic sheep. I've gone ahead and Id'd this one for you. If you've any questions please do ask. Posted 9 years ago

Sheep are quadrupedal, ruminant mammals typically kept as livestock. Like all ruminants, sheep are members of the order Artiodactyla, the even-toed ungulates. Although the name "sheep" applies to many species in the genus ''Ovis'', in everyday usage it almost always refers to ''Ovis aries''.
