White Damsel
It can reach about 20 cm in size. Pinkish white with dark dots and difuse lines at the top of the head, base of middle dorsal fin and back of the dorsal fin. The individuals I found while snorqueling were fiercely defending their territories circling around me and even biting me to drive me away from their area (possibly males garding their nest). Seen in a shallow coral reef area next to Lankayan, Sabah.

''Dischistodus perspicillatus'', commonly known as the white damsel, is a fish native to the Andaman Sea and eastern Indian Ocean.
