This week we’re focusing on love and friendship in nature! Friendship comes in many forms and can be experienced by many different species in nature. Humans aren’t the only ones that cherish kindred spirits! According to the photographer, the crab-eating macaque (Macaca fascicularis) had adopted this adorable, stray kitten from a nearby village. Their regard for each other is pretty obvious from the photo! {Spotted in Indonesia by JungleDragon user, Anneyoungimages} #JungleDragon #friendship #nature #friendshipinnature

The crab-eating macaque, also known as the long-tailed macaque, is a cercopithecine primate native to Southeast Asia. It has a long history alongside humans; they have been alternately seen as agricultural pests, sacred animals in some temples, and more recently, the subject of medical experiments.
