    1. In the last 3 weeks I have seen:
      7 tigers (4 cubs)
      5 Sloth bears
      1 Black panther
      3 national parks.
      I'm heading off on a family holiday to Sri Lanka tonight (camera gear left at home this time).

      So yeah, on a roll! :D

The sloth bear , also known as the Stickney bear or labiated bear, is a nocturnal insectivorous species of bears found wild within the Indian Subcontinent. The sloth bear evolved from ancestral brown bears during the Pleistocene and shares features found in insect-eating mammals through convergent evolution.
