  2. I think the distance in this case was roughly 4 metres, which is about the minimal focus distance possible. That leads to a photo roughly the size of the previous closeup I posted. To get even closer, I cropped this one, at about 30%. It reveals some unsharpness but I think it is passable when not viewing it fullscreen. Posted 13 years ago

The ring-tailed lemur is a large strepsirrhine primate and the most recognized lemur due to its long, black and white ringed tail. It belongs to Lemuridae, one of five lemur families, and is the only member of the "Lemur" genus. Like all lemurs it is endemic to the island of Madagascar and endangered.
