Rufous vanga, Ankarafantsika, Madagascar In my opinion, one of our highlights of our 2nd trip through Madagascar, since I love the whole family of vanga birds. This is the female, as males have a dark patch near the throat:<br />

The rufous vanga is a species of bird in the Vangidae family. It is monotypic within the genus ''Schetba''. It is endemic to Madagascar, where its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
