Closeup of Malagasy Kingfisher, Ankarafantsika, Madagascar
We found this small kingfisher whilst we were waiting for our guide to arrive for a tour early in the morning on our 2nd day in Ankarafantsika NP. I took about 10 shots, each time moving closer one step whilst maintaining eye contact during the process. This is as far as it allowed me :)

The Malagasy kingfisher or Madagascar kingfisher is a species of bird in the family Alcedinidae that is found in Madagascar, and Mayotte.
