Alien egg (Amanita punctata) Fungi season starts with some rain then an alien looking grey egg bursting from the earth. This is obviously some type of Amanita spp. (volva clearly visible) but so many are undescribed in Australia. <br />
After some discussion with fungi experts I believe it is Amanita punctata.<br />
