The Madagascan starling is a species of starling in the family Sturnidae. It is endemic to Madagascar.

Commonly included as part of the genus ''Saroglossa'', the Madagascan starling is alternatively described as ''Hartlaubius auratus'', in which case it is monotypic in the genus ''Hartlaubius''.
