
Lion's Paw Sea Cucumber - Euapta godeffreyi
To 40 cm long. Translucent white to cream cyclindrical body with black lines between five rows of bulbous, bead-like knobs. Occasional brownish banding. Ten pinnate feeding tentacles.
Seen while snorqueling in Lankayan shoreline (Sabah, Borneo).

Euapta godeffroyi, the Lion's Paw Sea Cucumber, is a Sea Cucumber in the Euapta genus. Like other Sea Cucumbers in the Synaptidae family, they no tube feet, tentacle ampullae, retractor muscles, respiratory trees, or cuvierian organs. They also lack radial canals of the water-vascular system, with only the circumoral ring present.
