Mother's Day Kiss I know... I took this walking with my wife on Mother's Day at dusk. This fawn was kissing its mother and I couldn't resist taking the shot and submitting it to the Jungle. The mule deer (Odocoileus hemionus) is a deer indigenous to western North America; it is named for its ears, which are large like those of the mule. Two subspecies of mule deer are grouped into the black-tailed deer.
