Attelabus nitens
Attelabus nitens on Quercus coccifera
~5mm length. One of three shots made, as matter of fact the first. After I slightly touched a leaf and it simply disappeared into the oblivion amidst the fallen leaves. Immediately after I saw at the preview screen how nice it was this weevil.
Please watch it in FS, HD image.

Attelabus nitens (Scopoli, 1763) is a attractively coloured weevil species of Coleoptera polyphagous insects belonging to Attelabidae family. The males measure about 5mm in length, but the females are larger, at around 7-8mm. The single egg is laid near the edge of a leaf, the leaf is cut and rolled up to protect the developing egg.
