Creobroter gemmatus - Jeweled Flower Mantis
Mantids are probably the most photogenic of all bugs. Those huge, alien eyes that follow you everywhere, on that triangular head, just screams out ‘extra-terrestrial’. The mouth, just dripping with fingers. Those arms permanently poised to attack and pull the prey into a grizzly death. The slow, stealth of its rocking motion is enough to convince me to be a good boy, just in case reincarnation is a reality and bad boys come back as flies.
Here are a few of my favourite flower mantis shots.
Location is Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Alongside a stream and paddy fields.

''Creobroter gemmatus'', common name jeweled flower mantis, is a species of praying mantis native to Asia.

I am looking forward to the aliens coming. I want to see their evolution. It will be most interesting, providing they don't kill us off first :)
