Needless to say, a terrible shot, but posting it anyway because I'm greedy enough to collect the species intro :)
Seriously though, we tried for a long time but this ground dweller simply refused to give us a clear view. It was hyper aware of us and always around the corner.

The white-breasted mesite is a ground-dwelling bird endemic to Madagascar. One of three species in the mesite family Mesitornithidae, it has a small population and is restricted to five sites in the north and west of the island.
